I'm currently an associate professor of history over at Texas Christian University, but I've got couple of decades in the teaching trenches haha. Recently, I've been intrigued by this rising trend of distance learning with Southwest Texas Junior College catching my eye. I'm wondering if any of you have had personal brush with their online programs? As prof, wonder about the level of engagement and interaction. Can it match the energy you get in physical classroom?
And how flexible is it really for those juggling jobs or family commitments? And as an aside, I'd love to know what it's like being an introvert at Texas Tech University. With campus that size, do you find your own quiet corners?. Or does the social buzz become overwhelming? It’s fascinating to see how education changes over time, isn't it?
