So, I'm sitting here amongst my books and research tools at West Texas A&M University, but my mind is wandering over yonder to Paso Community College District. You see, we've had fair number of students transferring from there to us recently. And with that trend, it's got me thinking. What's life really like over there? And also, what advice would you give someone looking to make the leap from community college to four-year university?
Remember when transitioned from community college to university back in the day. It was one heck of culture shock, and can't help but wonder if things have changed much. Heck, maybe they've gotten better? And then In the end, folks, this whole pondering session boils down to one thing: We want our new Buffs coming in from Paso Community College District (or anywhere else for that matter) to feel comfortable and prepared. So, c'mon y'all. Any words of wisdom or personal experiences on this? How did you navigate your own transfer process?
And any tips on managing the change successfully?
