Just Texas Tech grad hangin' out here in Dallas, workin' for an oil firm. Don't get me wrong the petroleum engineering life has its perks, but lately I've been considering switch. Maybe it's the mid-afternoon coffee talkin', or perhaps it's just me being restless. Anyways, I've had my eyes on Texas State University.
But before dive headfirst into this whole 'transfer' thing, I'm wondering what kind of social scene they've got going on over there? Mean, is it all textbooks and exams or do folks know how to let their hair down? Remember back at Texas University Central Texas (man, that feels like ages ago), we'd be knee-deep in papers during the week but come Friday night it was all about the local music at O'Brien's Irish Pub. Is there any place where students typically gather at Texas State?
And what about student clubs? Over at Tech, we had everything from chess club to barbecue pitmasters guild!. So what's the club scene look like at Texas State? Any weird or quirky ones should know about? Oh, and one last thing how’s the transfer process? Smooth sailing or more of roller coaster ride? Here’s hoping someone can give me the lowdown before make up my mind. Thanks guys!
