Just wanted to drop by and chat bit about something that’s been on my mind lately. So, I'm loving the post-college life in Fort Worth the energy here is just so vibrant and alive. But as recent grad from Texas Christian University, can't help but reminisce about my college days. Now, during my time at Baylor, the Waco community played an enormous part in my overall college experience. It was amazing how much they supported us students from local businesses offering student discounts, to the community rallying behind us during home games. It really did make world of difference.

Recently though, I've been hearing some buzz around the University of North Texas at Dallas. Apparently, they've got some unique strategies in place to support first-gen college students. Now, that's fantastic if you ask me! You see, being first-gen myself, know firsthand what it's like to navigate the complexities of university life without having family precedent to guide you. It's kinda like trying to find your way through maze blindfolded! So hearing about universities making targeted efforts for first-gens is honestly heartening.

Guess what I’m trying to get at is this: if there are any UNT Dallas students or alumni lurking around these parts of the internet, could you shed some light on this? Mean, what specific strategies has UNT Dallas put into motion for first-gen students?

Hey there! As someone who works in admissions at Texas Southern, can tell you that we're all about the same mission helping first-gen college students thrive.ss
